CBD & the Endocannabinoid
System

Cannabis sativa L. — Broad-Spectrum Hemp Extract

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring phytocannabinoid derived from industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.). Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive and does not produce intoxication at any dose.

CBD exerts its effects primarily through the endocannabinoid system (ECS) — a cell-signaling network present throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems, immune tissue, and skin. The ECS regulates pain perception, inflammation, stress response, sleep cycles, and immune function.

Applied topically, CBD interacts with cannabinoid receptors (CB1, CB2) and transient receptor potential (TRP) channels located in the dermis and epidermis. This produces localized anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects without systemic psychoactivity — making topical CBD uniquely suited for targeted musculoskeletal applications.

Magsoothium uses broad-spectrum CBD — retaining the full spectrum of naturally occurring cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids present in hemp, while reducing THC below the federal limit of 0.3%. Every batch contains verifiable CBD potency confirmed by third-party ISO-certified laboratory analysis.
